Travel allowed from sunrise to sunset, including weekends.

RESTRICTED TRAVEL: No travel on New Year’s, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Movement to cease at 12:00 noon the day preceding a holiday and resume after 9:00 noon the day following the holiday. Verify with the Permit Office for any annual changes.

Signs, Flags & Lights for Delaware  Oversize Permits

Warning signs are mandatory for all oversize movements. “Oversize Load” signs must be visible on vehicles and loads exceeding legal width, length, or rear overhang. Flags are necessary at extremities for all over-width loads. For loads with rear overhang exceeding 4′, one flag is needed at the extreme rear if it is 2′ wide or less; two flags are required if it is over 2′ wide.
